Seattle's leading receiver broke a bone in his index finger late in the team's loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night. The team is still trying to determine the best course of action, coach Pete Carroll said, and it might be Lockett having surgery with the hope of returning at some point this season. Carroll said the injury is a spiral crack and that it's "very similar" to the break running back Rashaad Penny suffered in training camp in 2018. Penny was injured on Aug. 13, had surgery two days later and was back for the Seahawks' Sept. 9 opener.

FRISCO, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons knows how Philadelphia must feel about him. Texas added its second five-star recruit to the 2023 class on Thursday, when linebacker Anthony Hill committed to the Longhorns. Hill is a 6-foot-2, 230-pound linebacker from Denton, Texas, ranked No. 18 overall and the No. 2 outside linebacker in the class. Hill had been committed to Texas A&M since July, but decommitted from the Aggies in November and reopened his recruitment.
